Hi all. I know its been a while. I planned on updating after my surgery but, I forgot and well, there wasn’t much to say. I am sure some of you were interested to hear how the surgery went. It went well; I now know it went well because of how my leg feels. I have been doing rehab, but have been taking a little break from serious work outs because I have so much time to recover. I expect to be able to return to snow in August. I am on crutches again, by the time i get off crutches I will have spent almost 20 weeks on crutches in the last year. Anyway, I get to start weight barring at the end of the week and I will hopefully be done with crutches at the end of the following week. Lets see, what else is going on… The weather in SLC has been hot and cold, one day it is 70 out and the next it is snowing. On the warm days I am really wishing I could go bike. Oh, one more thing about skiing, I am not sure at this point what my situation with the US Ski Team is going to be for next year. If they follow precedence I should be back on the team, however times are difficult and sponsorship is down, so I am not positive what will happen, they have not told me anything at this time. I will let you know as soon as I know, however I would not expect any information on this in the near future.
I will try to be better about updating the blog, maybe i should set a calander reminder, anyhow, thanks for reading and I will check back in more often.

So the snow seems to be following us around. After getting several feet of snow in CO before the races we are now getting snow before the Europa Cup races. It is dumping out, from my guess we are getting around 1 inch per hour or more. Anyway, I am in St. Vigil Italy for the Kromplatz(not sure how its spelled) Europa Cup SL. So far the trip has been uneventful, just a lot of snow. Life is fairly boring, a lot of down time which is kind of OK because of the jet leg, but I would rather have more to do. I have skied 3 days. Our first day was here in St. Vigil, free skiing on the race hill, it was awesome. The snow was fantastic and the hill is sweet, I definitely had some of the most fun ever free skiing on GS race skis. Yesterday we trained GS at Paganella, in the Trento region, I think the ski area is Andalo or something to that extent. Anyway the snow was good and the hill was not to bad. Today we trained SL but it dumped all night and we had almost 8 inches of snow, it took 5 slip runs to get the track semi clean and at that point it was snowing so hard we gave up and ran the course because it was snowing almost as fast as we could lap around the lift and clear it off (the lift is only about 3 min). That is all. Thanks
